Cupping is a method in which a partial vacuum is created in glass cups placed on the skin by means of heat, drawing up the underlying tissues. When the cup is left in place on the skin for a few minutes, blood stasis is formed, as pathogens are brought to the surface and localized healing takes place. These round marks fade in 2-3 days and provide relief of tension in the area. |
