Shiatsu is a graceful Japanese style of bodywork using gentle passive stretching and the application of pressure to stimulate the chi (life force) flowing through the body. It is profoundly relaxing, and promotes energetic balance in the body, with the potential to heal a wide range of ailments. Shiatsu is commonly practiced on a mat the floor, with the client wearing comfortable clothing.
Sotai Exercise is often utilized as an addendum to Shiatsu, when deemed appropriate. Sotai is an active movement practice for muscular tension release. Through gentle effort as directed by the practitioner, the client can experience ease in places that usually feel tense or stuck. |
